Activity
Exhibition
The Tokyo Midtown Design Hub has approximately 450 m² of lobby space that will be a base for receiving and broadcasting design information across a range of different fields, such as disseminating information on Japanese design and introducing world design. Here, the Design Hub will serve as the operator that handles planned exhibitions with a selected theme every month, for the widespread propagation of design in various fields from Japan and abroad.

Seminars, Lectures, and Workshops
A series of informative, educational events will be held throughout the year, including lectures related to exhibitions, seminars for business executives, highly specialized workshops for designers, and other such events that span a wide range of design and business subjects. The International Design Liaison Center, in particular, will conduct a continuous series of seminars and symposiums in which six overseas research and educational institutions will introduce advanced new design methods on the cutting edge of the business world.

Joint Industry-Academia Projects
A variety of activities are scheduled to be carried out centering on the Kyushu University Faculty of Design Tokyo Lounge and the participating institutions of the Design Liaison Center, such as joint research with Japanese corporations by research and educational institutions in Japan and abroad, the development of new designs through industry-academia cooperation, and business research on topics in new design fields. As a center for international collaboration, we will promote projects that are of benefit to corporations and designers not just in Japan or Asia but throughout the world.
