Purpose
The Design Hub coordinates among promotion organizations, designer organizations, and academic institutions inside and outside Japan, with the purpose of connecting, spreading, and fostering Japanese design.
Connect: Connect Japan and the world community by means of design. Connect the practical business of design with the academia.
Spread: Spread the thought and methodology of design into such fields as living, administration, management and technology.
Foster: Perceive design sought in the 21st century and foster the human resources to realize it.
The Design Hub will fulfill these roles through exhibitions, symposiums, seminars, joint research, and other such means. In doing so, it will support activities to enhance the international presence of importance of design.
