The Tokyo Midtown Design Hub opened its doors in April 2007 as an action center for design. Located in the cosmopolitan Roppongi District of Tokyo, the Design Hub brings together People, Business, and Knowledge through design, and continues to actively publicize the world of design.

The etymology of the word "hub" relates to the center of a wheel, and in our context, "hub" means a place where many come together. The hub binds the spokes to the axle, and smoothly, yet powerfully, turns under the center of gravity created.

The Tokyo Midtown Design Hub brings together many people through the power of design, consolidates the body of knowledge associated with design, and looks forward to fresh challenges that design is tasked with.
