What Did Kominkan and Design Dream Of? – Places Where Conversation emerges, and the Design Behind Them

BASIC INFORMATION

“What Did Kominkan and Design Dream Of? – Places Where Conversation Emerges, and the Design Behind Them” is a thematic exhibition focusing on social education and design, following the 2023 exhibition “~ Work in progress ~ Thinking about the near-future of Design and Kominkan.” held at this venue.

Building on questions left open in the previous exhibition, this project revisits the idea of “collectively shaping society” and explores how such a vision might be realized, and by whom. Shifting the perspective from kominkan to the broader field of social education, the exhibition invites collective reflection on the dreams, hopes, and possibilities that emerge from these places, and considers how design can support and nurture them.
