Grand Sign Exhibition – Communicating and Connecting – Sign × Society × Story

Since its founding sixty years ago, the Japan Sign Design Association (SDA) has witnessed major changes in the social environment surrounding sign design. The concept of “sign” has expanded far beyond its traditional boundaries.
To share this history with society, we present the Grand Sign Exhibition — Communicating and Connecting — Sign × Society × Story, the first exhibition in Japan dedicated to sign design. Through the timeline of past, present, and future, the exhibition traces the evolution of sign design and its roles in society.
“Creating new values in the environment through information.” This expresses the essence of sign design. Sign design continues to evolve with society. Through this exhibition, we invite you to experience its many facets.
